DiscoverYourMoney
Terms of Service
Last updated: September 25, 2026
These terms govern your use of DiscoverYourMoney. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of terms
By using DiscoverYourMoney or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Who may use the service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement to create an account or purchase a membership.
3. What DiscoverYourMoney does
DiscoverYourMoney is an independent informational service. Based on your questionnaire answers, it helps you identify benefits, tax credits, rebates, grants, financial assistance, veteran and military programs, utility programs, and other money-saving opportunities you may qualify for, and links you to official sources to verify and apply.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account. Please provide accurate information; matches depend on the answers you give.
5. Membership plans
A free preview shows a limited number of matches. A paid membership unlocks your complete report. Current plans are:
- Monthly: $4.99 per month
- Annual: $29.99 per year
Both plans include the same membership features. Prices are shown before purchase and may change in the future; we will notify you before any change affects your renewal.
6. Automatic renewal and billing
Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us, through our payment processor, to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel anytime. Cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.
8. Informational service only — no guarantees
A match is an indication that you may qualify, not an official eligibility determination. We do not guarantee eligibility, approval, benefit amounts, tax outcomes, savings, funding availability, or receipt of any money. Final decisions are made by the program administrator.
9. No government affiliation
DiscoverYourMoney is not a government agency and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any federal, state, or local government agency.
10. No professional advice
We do not provide legal, tax, financial, or other professional advice. Consult a qualified professional for advice about your situation.
11. Verify with official sources
Program rules, amounts, deadlines, funding, and laws change. You are responsible for confirming current details with the official administering organization before relying on them or applying.
12. Third-party links and services
We link to government and third-party websites for your convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or practices.
13. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to access other users’ data, interfering with the site’s operation, scraping or copying our program library in bulk, or using the service for unlawful purposes.
14. Intellectual property
The DiscoverYourMoney name, site design, and our compilation of program information are owned by DiscoverYourMoney. Official program materials belong to their respective owners.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time.
16. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, and fitness for a particular purpose. See our Disclaimer.
17. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, DiscoverYourMoney will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any benefits, savings, or payments you did not receive. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
18. Changes
We may change the service or these Terms. We will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify members. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. Nothing in this section limits any right you may have under the consumer protection laws of your home jurisdiction.
